Open beta on Android and iPhone

Train with a plan that progresses itself.

MinMax Tracker builds a 12-week periodized program around your goal, schedule and equipment. Log each set in a few taps, and the app calculates the weight for your next session. Your training stays on your phone.

Both betas are open to anyone. On Android, join in three short steps with your Google account. On iPhone, install Apple's TestFlight app, then open the beta link. The app will come to the App Store after the beta.

Program generator

Answer a few questions. Get 12 weeks of training.

Pick a goal, a schedule and the equipment you have. MinMax builds a periodized plan in one of two styles, and both end with intensity techniques such as drop sets and myo-reps. The same answers always build the same program, and Shuffle gives you new exercise picks.

  1. GoalBuild muscle, get stronger, powerbuilding, or low-volume high effort.
  2. ProgressionWave: intro week, five overload weeks, a deload, then five weeks with partials, drop sets and myo-reps. Blocks: three 4-week blocks. Each block brings new exercise variations and heavier main lifts, and the last one adds intensity techniques.
  3. ExperienceBeginner, intermediate or advanced. Beginners get simple movements and no advanced techniques.
  4. Schedule2 to 6 days a week, 30 to 90 minutes a session.
  5. EquipmentFull gym, home gym, dumbbells and a bench, or bodyweight with a pull-up bar and dip bars. Or pick each item yourself.
  6. FocusUp to two priority muscles, and any exercises to leave out.
  7. ReviewPreview each day and phase, shuffle the exercise picks if you want, then save the program or start it right away.

Or build it yourself in the program studio

Open a starting template, start from a blank program, or import a program file. A template opens as an editable draft, so your active program and history stay unchanged until you publish.

  • Phases with their own targets. Intro, base, deload and intensification weeks each have their own sets, rep ranges and target effort.
  • Splits that fit your week. Full body, upper/lower, push/pull/legs and combinations of these, for 2 to 6 training days a week.
  • Swaps that don't affect your progression. Log a substitute exercise for the day, and the original exercise's progression stays the same.

Logging and progression

Tap, log, rest. It does the maths.

Every set row shows what you did last time and comes pre-filled with today's target. Tick a set and the rest timer starts on its own. When you finish the workout, MinMax sets each exercise's next weight.

Automatic progression

Reach the top of the rep range on every working set and the weight goes up by that exercise's increment. Miss the top and you repeat the weight. Miss the bottom and you go back to your last successful weight with a higher rep target. Deload weeks keep the weight the same.

A rest timer you can always see

It starts when you complete a set, uses each exercise's rest time, and stays in view while you scroll. Pause it, add or take off 30 seconds, or skip it.

Real gym sets

Warm-ups, extra sets, lengthened partials, drop sets and myo-reps. Add notes to a set, log a substitution, and use the plate calculator to load the bar. Log in kg or lb.

Personal records

Weight, rep, volume and estimated one-rep max (1RM) records are detected when you finish a workout and kept on a PR board.

Progress you can read

Strength curves and estimated 1RM trends per exercise, weekly volume by muscle group, and a full history you can edit later.

Body metrics

Log body weight, muscle mass and waist size. A 7-day average smooths the weight trend, so daily ups and downs don't hide the overall direction.

Fight coach

A coach's voice for every bag round.

Boxing, Muay Thai and kickboxing rounds with a recorded coach who calls combinations while you train. Every call says lead or rear, not left or right, so it works for orthodox and southpaw stances.

  • Combination calls. Punches, kicks, knees, elbows and teeps, in combinations written by hand and used in real classes. Three levels, from fundamentals to advanced.
  • Coaching between combinations. Technique reminders, a mid-round drill on rounds of two minutes or more, and an all-out push for the last ten seconds.
  • You choose the setup. Up to 30 rounds, each from 15 seconds to 15 minutes, with its own rest and discipline. Pick one of four coach voices, a level and a pace.

Exercise library

See both ends of the rep.

More than 150 exercises have their own illustration, each checked for correct form. Almost all show the start and end of the movement, so you can see the range of motion before you load the bar. The working muscles are highlighted.

FAQ

Questions

How do I get the Android app?

The Android beta is open to anyone with a Google account. Join the tester group, opt in as a tester, then install the app from Google Play. Use the same Google account for all three steps. If Play says you don't have access, wait a few minutes after joining the group and try again, or email us.

Is there an iPhone version?

Yes. The iPhone beta runs on Apple's TestFlight and is open to anyone. Install TestFlight from the App Store, then open the beta link on your iPhone and tap Accept. It will come to the App Store after the beta.

Do I need an account?

Yes, you sign in with an email and password. On iPhone and Android your training data still stays on the device and is not uploaded.

Does it work without a connection?

Yes. You need a connection the first time you sign in. After that, workouts, the rest timer, programs, charts and the fight coach all run on the device without one.

Can I move my data to a new phone?

Export a backup file from Settings → Data and import it on the new phone. An import keeps the data already on the phone and adds what's new. If anything in the file conflicts with existing data, nothing is imported, so your data is never left half-changed.

Does the fight coach need the microphone?

No. The coach is pre-recorded and only plays audio. The app doesn't ask for microphone access.
